GET YOUR QUOTE IN WRITING!!!  Quoted $385 (est.) for moving 11 4-drawer lateral files most with music in them.  Showed up nearly 40 minutes late.

Immediately changed the amount to either $675 flat rate or $150/hour because we had another 4 drawers and 2 drawer file cabinet (regular) and oh yeah, BTW were supposed to have 10 boxes which I moved.

Took one hour to load (reasonable) TOOK AN HOUR TO DRIVE 15 MINUTES, then took an hour+ on another end.  Had they had the right truck/equipment should have taken less.

STILL charged $600 (did I say THEY got lost (went to the wrong facility).  WILL NOT USE NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE & WILL LET THE PERSON WHO RECOMMENDED THEM TO ME KNOW.

Independent Land Rover Specialists

Among the worst and most unprofessional service, I have ever seen. Only one of the two credit card readers was working, and the computer was locked for the one that was working.

The woman (Lilly) who was trying to help me was actually lovely. The rest of the staff were unbelievable. She asked her co-worker for help and he made a snide remark to her that I could hear and walked away – while I was standing there.

Another employee came in who she asked for help to solve the problem and he just shrugged and walked off. And I was still standing there. Finally, a different employee came in from her lunch break, essentially called Lily stupid and made more snide remarks about her right in front of me.

Lily handled the situation gracefully and worked professionally to help me but the other staff who were making nasty remarks at their co-workers in front of customers shouldn’t be employed in any business that requires being around a customer. It was unbelievable.

Xpress Care

Just like many others, I was charged $120 up front instead of a standard copay.  Two and a half months later I am still trying to get a refund since Cigna paid the bill in full.

]I called 9 am Wednesday morning to follow up and I was told that the person in charge of billing won’t be in until Friday.

While the care that I received was fairly quick and sufficient, trying to get a refund has been a nightmare and a waste of time.

I am currently working with my HSA to dispute the charge since Xpress Care has not refunded the overpayment.  This place should be your last resort unless you have money and time to burn.

Arc The Hotel

This is a brand new hotel and still had construction underway during our stay.  We knew this going in, as we got a good rate for an October weekend at $100 per night double occupancy.

So we expected some teething problems, and there were some.  First, the good:  The room was stylish and the furnishings (including a nice warm comforter – more on that later) new.

The king sized bed was very comfortable, and the walk-in shower was great (good hot water, good pressure, expansive).  The fridge worked, and the TV had to be 50″+.  The staff was very friendly.

Now the problems (keeping in mind that construction was still underway):  Minor things that will probably be fixed soon included no toilet paper holder, no counter/shelf space in the bathroom, and no wastebasket in the bedroom.

More annoying was no premium channels on the TV, and although it offered a Chromecast connection, we discovered to our frustration that the hotel hadn’t gotten that up and running yet.

Also, oddly, there was no top sheet on the bed.  We informed the desk of this the next morning, but when we returned that evening a folded top sheet had been placed on the chaise, but not added to the bed.

Weird, especially considering the housekeeping was otherwise good and responsive. The reason for the 3-star rating, however, is that THERE WAS NO HEAT IN THE ENTIRE HOTEL, a fact that we had to discover for ourselves.

Our room was 62° when we went to bed, so the aforementioned comforter turned out to be essential.  We only found out about this glaring problem when we called down about the ineffectiveness of the thermostat.

This is something we should have been informed about when we made our reservation, full stop.

Move America

Do not use Move America If you expect professional, accurate services. We moved cross country with this company. The trailer was to be held in storage for 2 mos.

]The trailer was delivered to the wrong storage facility, ultimately resulting in a day’s delay to our residence. Due to this delay,

Move America said they had no unloaders available. We had to find & hire unloaders ourselves. Now we come to discover damaged furnishings and filed a claim, EXACTLY as instructed with pictures and all.

We have been getting the run around ever since! 4 phone calls and a month later, we are still trying to resolve this mess I would not recommend Move America!

Jama Heating & Cooling

The technician had to access the roof to fix the A/C.  After he left, a hole in the ceiling was discovered in the area where he had accessed the roof.

Jama was informed and denied their tech had done it but no one else had been in that area.   Jama refused to fix the ceiling.  I will not be using them again.  If I could give them zero I would.

Kensington Auto Clean

This place is a total ripoff. They quoted me $150 to fix paint chips and $200 to valet the car. When my wife went to collect the car they added an additional $175 to fix the paint chips – double dipping in other words.

Should have learned my lesson from my other car which they valeted 6 months ago and did a sloppy job.  Don’t go there.

Nigra Thomas P MD

Took my father to Dr. Nigra and am stunned at the complete lack of professionalism and timeliness of Dr. Nigra and his staff.

We sat in an old closet of a waiting room for a good 30 minutes (we were even 20 minutes early for his appointment) and when they called my father in, he sat in another room for another 40 minutes!!! He couldn’t take it anymore so we left. The staff didn’t even care to apologize.

We all live in the same 24 hours, for Dr. Nigra to think his time is more precious than anyone else’s is preposterous but that’s the feeling we got. This was my father’s second (AND LAST) visit to this disgrace of a doctor.

His first visit with Dr. Nigra was FAR from good but the follow-up was just disastrous. If you want your time wasted, go to Dr. Nigra. Otherwise, go elsewhere for a dermatologist…even better, find a natural treatment for your dermatological woes.

Hampton Inn Silver Spring

We stayed for two nights at this hotel for a wedding.  Upon check-in, I requested to upgrade to a one bedroom suite as I have an 18-month-old daughter that I wanted to be able to put down earlier.

I was informed by the staff that they cannot do that because the “Homewood” suites were a different company.

This is an interesting comment as the last I checked both are owned by the Hilton.  I believe that the staff did not know how to do this and did not try to accommodate me.

I found the front desk staff to be cold overall and not very helpful.  Because of the poor customer service, I would most likely not stay here again.
